Is Stage Hypnosis safe ?
Simple answer YES! If hypnosis was a danger to the public it would be banned. The Government and Home Office revised the 1952 hypnosis act in 1996 after a lot of bad publicity. It was investigated by doctors, psychologists and various other professional bodies and was deemed a perfectly SAFE form of entertainment.
Will the hypnotist make me do things I don`t want to ?
Absolutely NOT. You can not hypnotise anyone to do anything they don`t want to do.
Are there any after effects from being hypnotised ?
Not at all. The only after effect is people coming up to you saying how funny you were in the show.
All our hypnotists remove all post hypnotic suggestions after the show and will stay for 30 minutes after a performance.

About The Stage Hypnotist Agency.....
The Stage Hypnotist Agency was started by Ken Webster a veteran of stage hypnosis. Ken has been a stage hypnotist for over 25 years. Since being semi retired (now only working theatres and corporate functions) Ken decided to put all his knowledge and expertise into an agency specialising only in stage hypnotists.
A lot of venues, bookers and agents can be very apprehensive about booking a stage hypnotist. It`s not like booking a comedian, singer or a band where you basically know what you're getting. With a hypnotist you need to know as much about the person as you do their act. All hypnotists who are represented by this agency are known personally by Ken.
Since 1994 when stage hypnosis was given a bad name by the press and media, stage hypnotists seemed to go out of fashion for a number of reasons. One of those reasons was an influx of non professional hypnotists who wanted to be Paul Mckenna tributes. People who thought "I could do that" They buy a cheap course on the internet, get trained by someone for a couple of days and hey presto I am a hypnotist. This type of hypnotist would do very low standard shows for very little money in a back street pub somewhere adding to the bad name stage hypnosis was getting at the time. Then there were the new breed of stage hypnotists who wanted to be the bad boys of hypnosis doing lewd, crude, offensive, bad taste porno shows. Again this all added fuel to the fire for the press and media and once again the professional hypnotist suffered. Because of this a stage hypnotist could not get Public Liability Insurance, that has now all changed.
Most of these wannabe Mckennas no longer work in this field and have gone on to teach stage hypnosis as they simply could not find the work because of the bad reputation they had built up for themselves. There is no one in this agency remotely affiliated to any hypnotist of this genre.
Every one of our hypnotists carry full Public Liability Insurance, so the venue and booker can rest assured they are booking a competant experienced hypnotist.
